| Gettin Yer Angries Out |
[Apr. 23rd, 2007|11:01 pm] |
Today I got a message on the new band's myspace from the Wobblies. They said that they want to play another show with us, and we're in their top 8 on their page.
EEEEEEE.
I'm such a fangirl. |

Huh. I just read the whole Craigslist drama about Interzone and it was horribly depressing. Katie, your reply was fantastic. I can't believe that one bad experience and a few punk kids smoking outside can lead to someone being so fucking judgemental. Interzone is like my second home, and I hate seeing people talk about it like that. The fact that they base their opinion of a coffeeshop on what the patrons wear (and smoke!) is a load of horse shit. What about the wonderful coffee - it is, after all, a COFFEE shop - or the veggie-friendly food? Ugh. One more reason to hate fucking college kids.
On a happier note, I get my tattoo tomorrow! |

| | BLINK FUCKING 182 | ] | So Justin and I are moving back to Corvallis. Eugene makes us even more negative and angsty than we already are, so we decided it's time to get the hell out. Anyone know of any job openings? Justin can probably get transferred, but I can't.
The Shotglasses final show is on August 14 at Oddfellows. Everyone should come and buy our CD. Also, any ideas for opening bands? I've already vetoed the Stack.
I'm kind of excited to come home. |

Green Day says they're rock 'n roll terrorists, but I heard them on Musak at Bed Bath and Beyond.
Justin and I wrote a new song. It goes a little something like this. |

My brain is dead. This is it, I will never think a sane thought again. Of my 10 page paper, I'm at 9 and a half. I'm. So. Close.
BAHHHHHHHHHHHH.
Oh yeah, show on the 16th. Sam's house. Crazy Ivan's playing too, although I'm not sure they know it yet. |

Anyway, Night of Noise, April 26 at 7:00, be there and check out my band and my hair. I hear the Dots are performing too, which is pretty awesome. |

| | Open Mic Night at Cozmic Pizza | ] | People who change Misfits lyrics from "I ain't no goddamn son of a bitch" to "I ain't no gosh-darn son of a cantalope" aren't funny. Especially when the band is called Jesus and the Burning Bush. Open Mic night sucks. Except for the guy who did that song from Pulp Fiction on mandolin and kazoo. Fuck.
Anyway, other than that, things in Eugene are good. Working, figuring out school stuff for next term, trying to keep up band practices, sleeping a lot... I've turned into a pissed-off slacker that sleeps until one in the afternoon and has a shitty job.
I guess that's not really fair. Things aren't bad, it's just that Livejournal makes me angsty because it's impossible to write happy entries.
So I saw a friend of a friend's band play the other night at this alternative clothing boutique and there was free PBR. It was fun... this band could easily be all over college radio if they tried. Unlike this Jesus fucker who's performing right now, who is currently singing about how he "loves [his] sweet crackwhore." If the lyrics were better, it would actually be a really catchy song.
Soo... incredibly disjointed entry, sorry about that. I miss you all, we should have a party sometime when everyone is back in Corvallis.
Love. |

I don't care if this is a rock star thing to do. We want buttons, but we can't draw. Help. Please. We'll give you a free CD.
Eventually I'll do an actual update, but I'm going to a show tonight and don't have much time.

Boooored. I'm BORED. Meh. Went to work today, did stuff, found out I can't get a lip ring, I was sad. Then I smoked a cigarette and wrote incoherent sentences in my livejournal.

I think I'm turning into my grandmother. First I bought a cardigan that looked like something she would wear, and now the temp agency is referring me to a job at Prudential. My grandmother works for Prudential. Fuck. |

So. Am currently watching two white-haired old people do the rhumba or something in the middle of a coffeeshop. It's sweet. Also, this skinny emo boy at the table in front of me has the same ringtone as me, and he gets a lot more phone calls then I do. I keep reaching for the phone and then feeling lame. Skinny emo boy is now playing chess with dreadlocked barista boy (do they call them baristas if they're male? Is it baristo?). Since I don't know anyone here, most of the time I end up people watching. I imagine that's going to get very old very fast. The only problem is, I've completely forgotten how to meet new people without the help of school. When you live in Corvallis your whole life, you don't actually have to do anything to meet someone new, because you probably have a mutual friend somewhere along the line. Yeah. I don't have that luxury here, although I do enjoy the anonymity to some extent.
Also, everyone should go to the Shotglasses MySpace and add us because we are that fucking trendy. Did you know that Rupert Murdoch bought out MySpace? That seems a little creepy to me. Anyway, go here.
Things to do: - Try to forget puking into a saucepan for the second time. Even though it wasn't actually a saucepan, it was a wok, it doesn't matter because it's still a kitchen thing. Ick. Am never drinking that much ever again. - Get a job, or find another way to get money fast, because I have $5 in my bank account. - Turn 18 because no one wants to hire a 17 year old. - Record an album with the Shotglasses. - Make friends in Eugene. |

Show went well, had a good night up until I had to go home (um, to Tali's). Got locked out, no way of getting in, tried sleeping in Tali's old car that doesn't work but got too cold. Went to Mom's at about 3 am to steal a blanket but all her doors were locked too. Called my sister, she let me in, but then Mom got mad because it was so late and yelled at me for a bit. Then I slept on the couch and Ellie made me breakfast in the morning and brought it to me on a tray when I woke up.
Why does everyone lock their doors? Goddammit people, this is Corvallis.
( A nice man at Interzone gave me a lighter today. ) |
